Confirming that solar fixtures are rated for Canadian prairie winters is instrumental in the fixtures’ performance. The fixtures will need to be designed for regions that have less than average sunlight and long winter nights and provide reliable lighting under any weather condition.
Smart Off-Grid System
This Fully customizable smart solar system includes fixtures, battery, pole and Cloud-based software, including 24/7 monitoring, proactive maintenance, diagnostic testing and fault determination. Full ability to remotely control each individual system, or group.
This software includes weather forecasting and has the ability to adjust light levels to ensure system uptime even during extended no sun and low sun periods up to 5-10 days.
Integrated Solar Fixture
The all-in-one integrated solar fixture features a high lumen LED light fixture, battery pack, solar panel and motion sensor all in one. The built-in motion sensor and dimming allow for light output options and flexibility. This system has a weight of approx. 20 pounds and it can be installed on a basic galvanized fence post so as a result there is no requirement for specific poles or piles.
As with conventional street, parking lot or pathway lighting the objective is to create a bright and appealing area with uniform light levels.
To achieve this objective, the following must be considered:
Pole height, spacing, fixture configuration, mounting
Lensing for beam angle and fixture lumen output
Lighting Layout to confirm light levels and light uniformity throughout the lot
